On January 25th, 2019 Mission Centers of Houston held its first annual ‘Barbecue, Boots, and Boogie’, a ‘fun-raiser’ to raise much-needed funds to help support our mission work.  Over 250 people attended the event, thanks mainly to all of our event sponsors and contributors. The event started with a welcome and blessing from Rev. Jeff Skipper of Champion Forest Baptist Church, who also served as the emcee for the night. Guests had the opportunity to fellowship, get their photo taken, bid on silent auction items, and boogie to the sounds of Curtis Grimes and his band. To top the night off we all enjoyed a delicious barbecue meal compliments of ecclesia, Wagyuru, RDQ and Food Town. Yee-haw! It sure was a night to remember.

During the evening we also debuted three new videos that highlighted stories from 2018 in the communities we serve. You can view these videos online:

A special thank you goes to all of our table sponsors and to Champion Forest Baptist Church who hosted the event.  Because of your continued support Mission Centers of Houston is able to continue providing for the physical and spiritual needs of people living in Houston’s inner city.
