Covid-19 Update


*** We will be closed from August 1 – August 16.  All services will resume on Monday, August 17. ***



  –  All onsite Kids Club, Youth Club and Adult programs at the Gano and Joy Mission Centers are suspended until further notice.  Our hope and prayer is that we will be able to resume these services in September.



 – Client-choice food pantries have been replaced with drive-up or walk-up food distribution at both Gano and Joy Mission Centers until further notice.  The hours are : Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 9:00 – 11:30 am for the general public, Thursdays, 9-11:30 am for senior adults only



 – Homeless individuals can receive a to-go hot meal & essentials bag on Mondays from 1:00 – 2:00 pm



 – Homebound deliveries of groceries are done on Mondays.  If you are homebound and have a need please contact us at (713) 227-0304 or

Texans who are in need of social services in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak can dial ☎️ 2-1-1 or (877) 541-7905 and select option 6. There you will find information and referrals for testing, community clinics, unemployment benefits and more. You can also dial 2-1-1 to find information about local community resources such as financial assistance for utilities or rent and food pantries, housing assistance, crisis counseling, utility payment assistance, and senior services.

For individuals who do not have access to healthcare, Harris County has established a call center: “Ask My Nurse”.  Call 713-634-1110 from 9AM to 7PM, seven days a week.
