Often, we highlight the different ministries that take place at Gano Mission Center and how God is moving through them. However, this month we would love to share a new resource that will soon be offered to the homeless of the Near Northside. Gano will now offer an outdoor shower facility for our homeless community, but this service was only possible through donations and volunteer work. Our executive director, Jeff Chadwick, had the vision of expanding our homeless ministry to include a shower. One of our board members, and her home church Woodridge Baptist quickly saw the vision and raised funds to make this vision a reality. Soon after this a member of Woodlands First Baptist, and his sons heard of this project and volunteered their time and skills for the building of the shower facility. This is amazing and to God be the Glory because within a few months the facility is three quarters of the way done. Different churches, different people working for the kingdom of God by reaching all people for His Glory. We are in awe at what God can do through His people who place themselves at His disposition! Truly, Mission Centers of Houston cannot fully minister to the Near Northside and the Greater Northside without its volunteers with a purpose.
