Through both the Gano and Joy Mission Centers we offer assistance through:

  Weekly programs

On Thursday mornings we offer our senior adult friends a free program in filled with food, fellowship and Bible teaching. After enjoying a time of community with one another a message from God’s word is delivered by one of our staff or volunteer pastors. At the conclusion of the program senior adults receive a bag of groceries to take home with them.

  Holiday-themed programs

During certain holidays (Valentine’s Day, Mothers’ Day, Fathers’ Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas) we work with volunteer groups to ‘ramp up’ our Thursday morning program to provide a special meal, fun activities, games and gifts. It really helps us all to celebrate the season!

  Homebound grocery deliveries

Every week we package up groceries and deliver them to homebound senior adults around our communities. Loneliness is the leading cause of depression for many of our seniors so being able to visit and pray with them regularly helps them to cope with being home alone. Our aim is to consistently and regularly present a personal and tangible expression of God’s love through our visits to their homes.

  Day and overnight trips

Several times a year we offer our senior adults the chance to participate in a fun-filled trip together.

As Christ’s ambassadors we seek to live out what the Bible instructs us to do

“You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the Lord.” – Leviticus 19:32

“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” – James 1:27
